Permit for Preparing Opium.

The Kwong Un General office who, with the approval of the Board

obtained through the Authorities, manage the Frepared opium Licence

Monopoly of the whole province of Kwong Tung; in the matter of per-

mitting the preparation of opium and cancellation in the register.

Now according to the clear report of Luns Ki shop, 48 taals

of Fatna opium has been purchased by them from the Kwong Wing Un

shon at Hing Lung Street Canton. They (the Lung Ki Shop) accordingly

pay the licence fee required for t e prepared opium; and they have

furnished security from a substantial shop and there will be no

gecret keeping and concealment (of orium), evasion of payment of

fees and such like evil practices, They should therefore be allowed

to take the opium(purobased) to Chik Fa Street in the Shun Tak

Diatriot of the Kwong Chau Prefecture for preparation. All the opium

is to be converted into prepared opium within the limit of 3 days.

If the fixed regulations are violated and smuggled opium is mixed

(in the opium now purchased) steps will certainly be taken to petition

the authorities so that severe punishment may be meted out. A11

should fonform to the permit.

The above permit is issued to the Lung KL shop to receive and

keep as proof.
